Follow-up public meeting on Monday 27 June 2011















Your views were taken on board at the last public meeting held on 15 June 2011. To hear the outcome, please attend our public meeting on 27 June 2011.

On 15 June 2011 nearly 100 residents attended the public meeting called by Meriden Parish Council. Your views were recorded and discussed with Solihull Council on Monday 20 June 2011. The outcomes from this meeting are positive and we’d like to share this with you on 27 June before the practical completion inspection takes place on 29 June.

This is your opportunity to find out how you helped resolve the situation.

PARISH PLAN CONSULTATION
The Meriden Parish Plan Action Group has published its latest Newsletter Spring 2011.  It's dedicated to the Parish Design Statement and is asking your views on planning issues facing the parish as a whole and your particular area.

When you receive it, please take the time to complete it and return to either the library, The Centre charity shop or Blitz salon in Millison's Wood.

WHAT'S COMING UP

The next community surgery will take place on Monday 14 March 2011 at the Library between 10am-12pm.
Representatives from the West Midlands Police along with Bruce Brant, our Neighbourhood Coordinator from Solihull Council and Shafim Kauser, Parish Clerk will be present.

Thinking of standing as a parish councillor?  Then meet your councillors at the Village Hall on Wednesday 16 March 2011 from 7:30pm
Councillors Rosie Weaver, Melanie Lee and District Councillor David Bell will be in attendance to answer any questions about how to become a parish councillor.  The elections are this year on Thursday 5 May 2011.


Public Inquiry over Eaves Green Lane planning application starts on Tuesday 22 March 2011 at the Heart of England Social Club.

The next parish council meeting will take place on Monday 28 March 2011 at the Village Hall from 7:30pm.

Next Parish Council Meeting is Monday 28 February 2011
At the Village Hall from 7:30pm. 

The agenda will include a brief presentation from Tarmac in relation to sand and gravel extraction.  Other items will include updates on village matters such as the new playing fields.

9.1 Premises Licence Variation – Meriden Lateshop, 2 The Green, Meriden CV7 7LN – To vary the sale of alcohol, for consumption off the premises, for Monday – Sunday 6am – 11pm



9.2 2011/121 Land at Maxstoke Lane, Meriden – 5 additional dwellings (plots 83-87), substitution of house types on plots 10,11 & 45 and relocation of foul water pumping station


9.3 2011/250 Land at Becks lane, Meriden – Extend time limit on approved planning application 2008/261 (redevelopment of scrapyard to provide 4No. dwellings and alterations to existing access)
