Triumph Meriden FC win the Jeffs Hall Cup!

The Jeffs Hall Cup was won today 28 April 2012 at Sedgemere Sports & Social Club.

Well done lads!  It's a proud day for Meriden.

Next week Triumph Meriden play their last league match of the season at Chelmsley Town against Selly Oak to secure the league title.  Kick off 2:30pm - come along and give them your support.

Parish Council Newsletter

Our Spring 2012 newsletter has now been delivered to homes throughout the Parish.  Spare copies have been left in the library and Blitz. 

It contains highlights of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee events and Half Term Sports Camp starting this Wednesday 11 April 2012.  There is one error, though, if you want to contact our sports co-ordinator by email, his correct email address is pauljayes@yahoo.co.uk.

Vacancy for the Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer


Meriden Parish Council is looking to recruit a Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer who can bring drive, flexibility, commitment and appropriate experience to this important position.



This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in local issues with the flexibility to be able to work from home.  As the principle officer, duties include: to produce agendas and minutes for all council meetings and committees, liaising with outside bodies, actioning the council’s decisions, acting as the council’s financial officer, keeping the council’s financial records.  Requirements: some evening work and ability to work from home and core hours at a local designated office in Meriden.  


The successful applicant would be expected to have knowledge of local government and to hold, or to be working towards obtaining the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or equivalent.



25 hours weekly

Salary NJC scales:  LC1 spinal column point 18-22 (pro-rata to 25 hours) depending on experience.
